AutoMyco

What's new

Changes to AutoMyco, the iPhone app and this site. AutoMyco 1.1.0 is out.

9 October 2026

  • AutoMyco 1.1.0 is out. New installs get it now. Chambers that can check for updates get the offer gradually, and nothing installs by itself.
    • Grow phases (Incubation, Pinning, Fruiting), each with its own mist, light and fresh-air settings. The chamber asks before it moves on.
    • Update from the iPhone app without Home Assistant: hold the rear button to pair the app.
    • Load checks: the chamber tells you when a fan, the blower, the mister or the heater isn't plugged in.
    • Grow recipes from this site, so new species and fixes don't need a reflash.
    • The blower comes back on when the heater stops. Web pages on other sites can't control the chamber.
    • Opt-in extras, all off unless you turn them on: anonymous check-in, Share Diagnostics, push alerts and stock-camera timelapse.
  • Updated terms of use: you're asked to accept them once when you sign in or download.
  • Privacy now spells out what the firmware sends: an update check every 6 hours (you can switch it off) and the grow recipes download. Anonymous Check-in and Share Diagnostics stay off unless you turn them on.
  • Grow recipes are now served from this site, so new species and fixes won't need a reflash.

4 October 2026

  • AutoMyco 1.0.0 is out, the first release. Install it with the no-wire install (no adapter, keeps your Wi-Fi) or the wired install (with a full backup).
  • New: no-wire install over Bluetooth. Hold one button on the chamber and install from Chrome on a computer or Android phone. No adapter, no opening the chamber, and it keeps your Wi-Fi.
  • The iPhone app can install firmware updates over Wi-Fi (Settings, then Update firmware). Tested on my chamber.
  • New Help page with answers to common flashing questions, and a way to message me.
  • Link previews for sharing beezy.ninja.

3 October 2026

  • beezy.ninja launched: sign in with an emailed code, gated downloads, and a browser flasher that backs your chamber up before it writes anything.
  • Public firmware build with no baked-in Wi-Fi password or keys. Each chamber gets its own when you set it up.
  • The flasher puts the chamber on your Wi-Fi over the cable right after installing.
